Windows 10X feature will prevent unauthorized factory resets

Windows 10X is a new streamlined version of Windows designed for security and performance. Microsoft announced in 2019 and plans to launch in Spring 2021 on a new range of devices. A leaked version of the operating system leaked last week shows a new feature called “Anti-theft protection”” The feature is designed to prevent thieves from wiping and re-using stolen devices. Microsoft used a similar feature in Windows Mobile to protect devices when stolen. It would also make sense for Microsoft to port this feature to the regular Windows 10 operating system.”
