Another Caribbean Government department becomes the centre of attention as the Dominican Republic underwent engages in new strategic planning over a cyberattack which saw their systems unequipped to defend against cybercriminals.

- The General Budget Department of the Dominican Republic underwent a cyberattack against its systems, which was reported in the media. The attack limited part of the technical operations of this institution stagnant, which has personnel working to overcome the situation with the Presidential Office of Information and Communication Technologies in cooperation with the National Cybersecurity Center.
- In addition to establishing the systems, a strategic cybersecurity plan to strengthen the technological infrastructure was launched to defend against this kind of incidence and guarantee better, swift and effective services.
