Zoom Makes Common-Sense Security Measures Default After Wave of Troll Attacks

The video messaging platform Zoom will begin requiring passwords and enabling virtual waiting rooms by default on Sunday. The move comes in response to recent “Zoom bombings” where malicious actors join random video meetings and broadcast graphic porn and violent imagery. The FBI has issued an official warning regarding Zoom’s lax security. CEO Eric Yuan recently apologized for the security lapses that have led to the companys rapid growth in its user base.
