French law enforcement want to ban free and shared Wi-Fi connections during a state of emergency. They also want to block or forbid communications of the Tor network. The legislation could be presented as early as January 2016, according to Le Monde. The proposal ignores the belief that terrorists in Paris communicated with each other via SMS text message.
