XKCD Forum Hacked Over 562,000 Users’ Account Details Leaked

Popular webcomic comic comic XKCD has suffered a data breach exposing data of its forum users. Security researcher Troy Hunt discovered the data two months ago, with unknown hackers stealing around 562,000 usernames, email and IP addresses, as well as hashed passwords. The comic comic is known for its geeky tech humor and science-laden comic strips on romance, sarcasm, math, and language. The forum administrators are notifying affected users via email, urging them to change their passwords.
