Microsoft s August Patch Tuesday release contains updates for 93 vulnerabilities, including 29 that are rated critical in severity. The flaws allow remote code-execution without user interaction or authentication, and are highly exploitable. Microsoft warned that these are as dangerous as the now-infamous BlueKeep vulnerability but easier to exploit. Two of the RDS bugs are wormable, allowing an exploit to self-propagate from PC to PC, thus setting the scene for a global, fast-moving infection wave.
