With Cybersecurity Summit Over, What’s Next?

White House Summit on Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection aims to encourage industry to share cyberthreat information with government. President Obama signed an executive order to encourage the creation of information sharing and analysis organizations. ISAOs would serve as intermediators between business and government to share threat information. The White House has not provided specific details on how DHS would help facilitate the creation. Many businesses are reluctant to share information with the government until Congress enacts a law to provide them with liability protection. Legislation has been introduced in the current Congress to provide businesses liability protection to businesses.”]
