Using a custom UEFI firmware, a Windows driver and UEFI developer is getting closer to installing Windows 10 on a Nintendo Switch. Bingxing Wang has started working on a UEFI implementation for the Nintendo Switch using the EDK II firmware development environment. The developer is hoping to create a method to port Windows on ARM to the gaming platform. Wang has open-sourced his project as a GitHub project called NintendoSwitchPkg so that others can see what he is doing an possibly contribute to its development.
