Embedded software vendor Wind River Systems is investigating a security incident and possible data breach. The exposed data includes Social Security numbers, passport and visa details, dates of birth and driver’s license numbers. Wind River has yet to provide details on how the attackers were able to compromise the files in its network. A spokesperson for Wind River could not be immediately reached for comment on the breach notification filed with the California attorney general’s office.
