Warning Widely Popular ImageMagick Tool Vulnerable to Remote Code Execution

ImageMagick is an open-source image processing library that lets users resize, scale, crop, watermarking and tweak images. The vulnerability will be patched in versions 7.0.1-1 and 6.9.3-10 of the tool, which are due to be released by the weekend. The exploit for the vulnerability has been released and named: ImageTragick. The vulnerability is trivial, so we expect it to be available within hours of this post. An unknowable number of people having access to these vulnerabilities makes this a critical issue for everyone using this software.
