Visa Blocks WikiLeaks Donations Via DataCell Once Again

Visa shut down payment gateway at Icelandic hosting company DataCell for a few hours on Thursday. The company accepted thousands of donations to WikiLeaks before running into problems around 3.30 a.m. local time. CEO: “I don’t think its Visa pushed Valitor to close, as at that time there’s nobody in Valitor’s office” This is the second time in seven months that Visa has stopped DataCell from accepting donations on behalf of WikiLeaks. DataCell had earlier threatened legal action against MasterCard and Visa over interruption to payment processing.”]
