Verizon to Offer Cloud-Based Unified Communications

Unified Communications and Collaboration as a Service (UCCaaS) runs on a Cisco Systems-based cloud infrastructure. Cloud-based unified communications can cost less than in-house systems and be purchased on a per-seat, per-month basis, Verizon says. Verizon will make it generally available in the U.S. in June, and in other parts of the world after that. The service is designed to combine several types of communication, including instant messaging, VoIP and videoconferencing.”]
