US, UK Agencies Warn: QNAP NAS Devices Vulnerable

U.S., UK agencies issue joint warning that over 62,000 QNAP NAS devices have been infected with data-stealing malware. Some 7,600 NAS devices in the US and 3,900 in the UK are infected with the QSnatch malware, agencies say. Once infected, the malware can take over a device and prevent security updates from being installed. The malware has the ability to exfiltrate data, scrape users’ credentials, install a CGI password logger that installs a fake login page to steal administrative passwords.”]
