US Customs Starts Collecting Social Media Details from Foreigners Entering the US

The new form was approved by the US Customs on December 19. It includes details about social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. The move was met with criticism from user groups who say it could be a violation of privacy. There are fears other countries might make it mandatory for all people in the U.S. to do so. The US Customs officials say the new form is necessary to protect the public safety of people with ties to terror groups and the public interest of the public.
