The U.S. Coast Guard issued a marine safety alert including cybersecurity guidance following a cyber incident experienced by a deep draft vessel during February which affected the ship’s entire network. The Coast Guard also released a Marine Safety Information Bulletin (MSIB) on May 24 about cyber adversaries targeting commercial vessels via malware intrusion attempts and email phishing attacks.
