US authorities have identified and arrested members of an international ring of hackers and stock traders specialized in the theft of trading info. The gang was composed of two Ukrainian hackers, and other seven defendants from Ukraine and the US states of Georgia, Pennsylvania and New York. The hackers launched sophisticated cyber attacks against the media agencies stealing some 150,000 press releases from February 2010 through this year. The criminals ring operated to resell the stolen information to traders, receiving in return a flat fee or a percentage of profits from trades.”]
