A zero-day vulnerability in Apple’s Mac operating system has been allowing hackers to bypass much of Apples security protocols and deploy malware on an unknown amount of computers. The bug was discovered in March by security researcher Cedric Owens. The vulnerability created a work-around for key security features, including Gatekeeper, File Quarantine and Notarization security checks. Thankfully, the new Mac OS 11.3 includes an update that patches the security hole. Apple says it has taken immediate action to fix the bug and retroactively apply to older versions of the operating system.”]
