Unsecured Database with Personal Info on 56 Million U.S. Citizens Found Online

A database containing information on 56.25 million U.S. citizens has been found online with no security and serving an IP address belonging to Chinese online retailer Alibaba. The database is hosted on a Chinese server, hosted by CheckPeople.com, which offers details, such as addresses or phone numbers, for a fee. A bad actor could pair this database with other leaks and weaponize it.”]
