U.S. Universities Get Failing Grades for DMARC Adoption

Of the 200 schools in the 2020 WSJ/THE College Rankings, only 3 percent of the top 200 schools have the DMARC protocol configured at its fullest protection level. 116 schools did not have a valid DMARC record in place, according to Red Sift. Only the University of Pittsburgh and Georgetown University received top marks, with their DMARC policy set to reject The numbers come as schools continue to be in the crosshairs of cyberattackers. The Silent Librarian threat group has been on the prowl for credentials since the start of the 2019 school year in September.
