UltraRank hackers steal credit cards from hundreds of stores

Cybercriminal group responsible for compromising 700 websites and more than a dozen third-party service providers. Known as UltraRank, the gang has been active since at least 2015, using several web skimmers, malicious JavaScript code also known as JS sniffers. The gang is selling the pilfered payment info through an affiliate card shop, making tens of thousands of U.S. dollars in weekly profit. UltraRank changed tactics and infrastructure several times over the years, making it difficult for investigators to connect operations and caused campaigns to be associated with separate groups.
