U.S. Launches Criminal Probe Into EBay-Craigslist Dispute

The U.S. Department of Justice has opened an investigation into whether eBay executives broke the law and stole trade secrets while sitting on the board of Craigslist. The investigation is centered on the activities of eBay executives who managed the Craigslist relationship between 2004 and 2007. EBay wouldn’t say whether it was aware of the investigation before it was first reported by Reuters. The two companies have been slugging it out in civil courts for three years now, but the criminal investigation raises the stakes in this ongoing dispute.”]
