Twitter Locks Out Wikileaks DDoS Group As Attacks Spread

Twitter has suspended the account used by Anonymous, an umbrella group of online hacker-activists that have taken action against Wikileaks and its founder, Julian Assange. The action drew cries of censorship from across the popular social network. The group has called for volunteers to help it attack a growing list of targets in recent days. After initially proposing attacks on payment processor PayPal, Anonymous has targeted MasterCard and Visa, which also suspended payments to Wikileaks, as well as Amazon.com, a bank that shuttered accounts belonging to Assange, and the Swedish Prosecution Authority pursuing charges against Assange.
