Twitter Discloses Suspected State-Sponsored Attack After Minor Data Breach

Twitter has been hit with a minor data breach incident that may have been linked to a suspected state-sponsored attack. The social networking site says it noticed unusual activity involving a customer support form API. Twitter says the issue does not expose full phone numbers or any other personal data related to the user. Twitter has started directly notifying the users who have been impacted by the incident. The company says it addressed the issue within one day on November 16 and that there is no action required from the users’ side.
