Tracking the Cobalt Cybercriminal Group

Tim Bobak is APAC executive director for Group-IB, a Moscow-based computer security company. Bobak talks about the Cobalt cybercrime group, which has targeted ATMs, interbank payment networks and SWIFT infrastructure. Cobalt has had so much success with spear phishing, says Bobak. He also discusses what banks are making to improve their internal controls in light of attacks against payment transfer systems. The Cobalt group is targeting as many banks as possible, which poses risks particularly for smaller, less protected institutions.”]
