Tor Project puzzles over how the law shredded anonymity in Operation Onymous

Silk Road 2.0 was busted last week in a multi-nation bust, dubbed Operation Onymous, that snared 410+ supposedly hidden services running 27 markets. The Tor Project doesn’t know how the anonymizing service was foiled, but it has possibly relevant information it shared on Sunday. The organization says it has received reports about websites being infiltrated by undercover agents, and operational security errors. Other possibilities include SQL injection, Bitcoin de-anonymization and attacks on the Tor network that could reveal the location of hidden services.”]
