The House is reviewing a bill that would allow anyone to access the criminal records of anyone applying for a job as a “private security officer” The bill would apply to an individual whose primary duty is to perform security services, full- or part-time, whether armed or unarmed, and in uniform or plain clothes. The act also preempts stronger state laws.
