Ticketmaster Suffers Security Breach Personal and Payment Data Stolen

Ticketmaster says personal and payment information may have been accessed by an unknown third party. Ticketmaster has blamed a third-party customer service chat application for the data breach. Inbenta Technologies blames Ticketmaster for the breach, saying Ticketmaster deployed the chat application improperly on its UK website. The number of customers affected by the incident is believed to be less than 5% of Ticketmaster’s global customer base. Ticketmasters has emailed all affected customers and is offering 12 months of free identity monitoring for those affected.
