Thoughts on the Target breach and why the incident might not matter

This is the second time Target has been a victim; and that frustrates me, just as much as many other security professionals. The market value of data breaches says that breaches don’t matter, says Forrester’s Forrsights Security Survey shows that business leaders are spending more on security, but that data comes from a sample size of 2,100 business leaders globally. The business leaders that are wanting to do more, are often prevented from being proactive due to budget restraints or budget restraints.
