The Week in Ransomware – November 27th 2020 – Attacks continue

South Korean retail giant E-Land suffered a ransomware attack that forced them to close 23 retail stores while they recovered. Rtizau, US Fertility, Rand McNally, and the Banijay Group SAS were also attacked. Sopra Steria announced that they expect a 50 million loss after their Ryuk ransomware attack in October. Ransomware is an offshoot of the Sekhmet malware family that has been active since mid-September 2020. Baltimore County Public Schools has been hit by a. ransomware attack.
