The big news over the past two weeks is the U.S. state of Florida being abused by ransomware and paying close to one million dollars in ransom payments. Sodinokibi Ransomware has been spotted being spotted being distributed through malvertising that redirects to the RIG exploit kit. The affiliates who used to distribute GandCrab have moved on to this newer ransomware, which explains the increasing attacks and varied distribution methods.
