The death of Windows XP

Microsoft announced the end of life for their 12 year old operating system, Windows XP, and the end is nigh. In just 75 days, on April 8, 2014, the support for XP will end at last. Windows XP apparently constitutes roughly 30% of the global install base. There is hope for companies that can afford to pay Microsoft for dedicated support, but it comes at eye-watering prices: $200 per desktop for year one, $400 for year two and $800 for a third year.”]
