The Data Protection Bill 2018 passed in St. Kitts and Nevis

Lexology posted an article on May 8, 2018, about the Data Protection Bill from St. Kitts and Nevis.

On May 4, 2018, St. Kitts and Nevis’ legislators passed the Data Protection Bill 2018. This Bill was passed to promote personal data protection, whether public or private.

The Bill is derived from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States model and seeks to ensure that personal information won’t be disclosed, processed or used for other purposes than what it was originally collected for except with the individual’s consent or exemptions are clearly defined.
