TeamViewer Apologizes but still say they were not Compromised

There have been reports of recent attacks on computers using TeamViewer. Hackers are using the software to steal money or make online purchases. TeamViewers claim they have not been compromised in any way. Many victims claim that these attacks occurred even when they were using 2-Factor authentication. Many people report the attackers as originating from a Chinese IP address. The attacks are caused by the Backdoor.Teamviewer malware, but this malware appears to be from Russia. The malware will install a copy of the software on a computer but contact a server with information on how attackers can connect to the server.
