Google Street View launched in Switzerland, Taiwan, Portugal, and Taiwan this week. Swiss government says it needs to yank Street View from its maps in Switzerland. Google says it has received very few requests for image removal or face-blurring requests since launching the service. Google has been amenable to government requests for changes in how Street View operates. A Google spokesperson says the company has been “surprised” by the government’s decision to pull the service from Swiss maps. In Japan, the company is replacing all of the original snapshots to address privacy concerns.”]
