Spy agencies in the U.S. and U.K. bypass widely used encryption protocols

New York Times, Guardian, and ProPublica report NSA has cracked or circumvented most of encryption. NSA’s ability to crack much of the Web’s encryption comes to NSA via several channels. Agency has pressured vendors to install backdoors, or allow access to encryption keys. ACLU called the NSA’s actions recklessly shortsighted.
