RadioShack filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February, putting 4,000 brick-and-mortar stores in jeopardy. A plan to co-brand remaining stores with the Sprint logo is approved in bankruptcy court today. Stores will apparently carry both names, with Sprint occupying about a third of each location. It’s not really clear how the new company will succeed where the old one failed. This is probably just a stay of execution for the company, not a rebirth, but it’s not so sure that introducing Sprint stores will be the magic cure.”]
