South Korean Breaches Impact 20 Million

Contractor allegedly used company’s access to databases containing information on three South Korean credit card firms to copy the data to a USB drive. Compromised information includes names, Social Security numbers and credit card details. Regulators are looking into security measures in place at the three companies, according to a BBC report. The Financial Supervisory Service, a consumer watchdog, issued guidelines to aid customers affected by the breach, including steps to reduce the risk of fraud by reducing the risk to fraud, the watchdog says.”]
