Sony Online Entertainment hacked, 12,700 credit cards stolen

Sony just acknowledged another network breach related to the first one. Sony Online Entertainment, the company’s online gaming division, was hit by a second attack. The second breach involved the theft of 12,700 credit card numbers, according to Nikkei. Sony hasn’t confirmed the details of the second attack, but it’s thought it occurred during the original attack between April 17th and 19th. The company has apologized for the breach and said it will provide an update later this week. Sony is as tired of writing about this as Sony is deflecting questions.”]
