SHEIN-Fashion Shopping Site Suffers Data Breach Affecting 6.5 Million Users

U.S. online fashion retailer SHEIN has suffered a data breach after unknown hackers stole personal information of almost 6.5 million customers. Hackers gained access to email addresses and encrypted password credentials for 6.42 million customers who registered on its website. SHEIN says it typically does not store any credit card information on its systems and has no evidence that any payment card information of its customers was taken from its systems. The company has begun contacting all affected customers and requesting them to change passwords for their online store accounts.
