Risk scores seem all the rage right now. Executives want to know what their risk is. The problem is we havent really developed a good way to measure risk. The only true use for a risk score is benchmarking. It’s the digital equivalent of bloodletting and leeches, the go to means of the medieval quack. We are fighting paper dragons and letting the real monsters run amok. Our job is not to reduce risk on paper, it is to reduce real risk.”]
