Security hole could affect 99% of Android smartphones

University of Ulm researchers have discovered a vulnerability in Android 2.3.3 and earlier versions of Android. The vulnerability could allow unauthorised parties to snoop on your Google Calendar and Contacts information. It could also allow cybercriminals to eavesdrop on WiFi traffic and steal the authToken from Google. The discovery highlights the difficulty that Android smartphone owners face keeping their operating systems up-to-date with the operating system up to date.
