The Ministry of Education’s website was hacked a few weeks ago, but has now been fully restored. It is the latest of a series of attacks on some of the kingdom’s most prominent sites. The UAE is the target for more than half of all cybercrimes committed in the Gulf, a cyber security expert said in November. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are high targets for cybercrime, according to a Kaspersky Lab expert. The country is also the largest source of spam in the region after Saudi Arabia.
