Samsung acknowledges it changes Windows Update settings on its PCs

Samsung denies blocking Windows 8.1 update, but acknowledges manipulating Microsoft’s Windows Update. Samsung’s SW Update changes the service’s settings to prevent it from automatically downloading and installing updates. The default setting is “Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them,” researcher says. Samsung says it’s providing users with the option to choose if and when they want to update the Windows software on their products.
