Not much has changed with respect to issues in IT that directly impact information security. CIO type leadership that still does not understand information security as an investment and core accountability. IT in most organizations is still being run like a mom and pop shop. Lack of IT centralization when it comes to capital planning and investment control along with leadership that has no infosec pedigree are standard indicators of long running IT issues. Will it ever end? Flush the current IT leadership. It is quite amazing that we are still facing the same damn issues from 10, 15, even 20 years back.”]
