Russian cyberspies targeted the MH17 crash investigation

Russian cyberespionage group Pawn Storm has targeted Dutch Safety Board before and after MH17 report was released. The group has long been suspected to have ties to the Russian intelligence services. Researchers from Trend Micro have found evidence that the group set up a fake Outlook Web Access (OWA) server to target a partner in the MH17 investigation. Most of the group’s attacks to date have reflected Russia’s geo-political interests, the researchers said. MH17 was a passenger flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur that crashed on 17 July, 2014.”]
