Russian CEO Arrested for Alleged DDoS Attack on Rival

Pavel Vrublevsky arrested on suspicion of ordering DDoS attack against rival firm. Company ChronoPay co-founder and CEO was believed to have fled the country last week. Arrest could be evidence Russia is at last making serious efforts to clean up its abysmal reputation as a breeding ground for Internet criminality. Company has become one of Russia’s most notorious Internet companies, connected to a range of scams including fake anti-virus software and pharmacy spam. Microsoft recently announced its intention to pursue those said to be involved with the Rustock botnet, brought down in March.”]
