Russia has never extradited anyone and will not extradite Snowden to US

Russia says it will not extradite Edward Snowden to the U.S. for up to a year. Snowden could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted of three charges of espionage. Russia says Snowden would not be put up for the death penalty if he were extradited to the United States. Snowden has been charged with three offenses, including espionage, and could face a maximum of 30 years behind bars if convicted. He has been granted a temporary stay in Russia by the Russian government.
