Privacy is clearly a top application for cryptography as more and more data is collected and sent to various stakeholders in digital economy. Privacy regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) offer both an opportunity and a challenge to the cryptography community.
