Bogdan Viorel Rusu sentenced to 65 months in prison for running ATM card skimming operation. Rusu was able to steal payment card information from over 531 people using ATMs in the states of Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. The data was stolen using skimming devices and pinhole cameras or keypad overlays captured the PIN when customers would use a bank’s ATM. By creating copies of the cards, the fraudster managed to steal over $868,000.
