Researchers Show Off Mobile Rootkit Dangers

Rutgers University researchers have demonstrated how rootkits can be a threat to smartphones sporting operating systems not much unlike those in full-blown computers. App concealed the practice of gathering device unique identifiers using an added layer of encryption.
